Pyam - a Python package for scenario analysis, validation & data visualization

Over the past three years, we developed an open-source community Python package pyam for scenario analysis, validation and visualization. The package can be used for any typical integrated-assessment, macro-energy and energy-systems model, including subannual resolution using continuous-time formats or “representative timeslices”.

To mark the occasion of releasing v1.0 of the package, we wrote a manuscript in Open Research Europe, a new open-access journal launched by the European Commission. The manuscript is currently in review (but already published on the ORE website).

In the overview of tools and data models, we referenced several packages for scenario analyses, data management and visualization/plotting. Please add in the discussion any other packages that could be included in our manuscript, so that we can make the overview more comprehensive when submitting a revised version after the review.
