ENETRA-Project — a webtool for modelling and planning optimized inland port energy systems

Description:
The web tool enables companies operating in inland port areas and their stakeholders to model their specific energy systems on a map. It not only displays the current situation, but also provides future scenarios for comparison. Investment decisions are optimised by taking into account changing infrastructure, energy sources and technologies. This is underpinned by an OEMOF-based model incorporating components for mobility and logistics.
Background:
The development is done in the research project ENETRA, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Transport. The project partners Reiner Lemoine Institut (RLI) on the research side together with BEHALA, the operator of ports in Berlin, aim to develop robust scenarios for the energy transition of the Westhafen.
The project is also supported by Reiner Lemoine Foundation, BEHALA, bayernhafen, DeltaPort and the Bundesverband öffentlicher Binnenhäfen.
