Webinar: Bridging the Gap with PyPSA-Taskforce (17 June 2026)

Dear Openmod community,

You are invited to a webinar about the PyPSA-taskforce — a collaboration between Technische Universität Berlin, the University of Pisa, and Open Energy Transition to bring the PyPSA ecosystem up to and beyond the capabilities of proprietary tools.

:round_pushpin: Online | :date: 17 June | :four_o_clock: 16:00–17:00 CEST | Free

What to expect:

In this 1-hour webinar, we’ll walk you through:

  • What the taskforce is and why it matters

  • The feature gap analysis — where PyPSA stands today vs. proprietary alternatives

  • How you can contribute, prioritize, and shape the roadmap

You’ll first hear about the PyPSA-taskforce and we’ll then open for a panel discussion with live Q&A. The panel consists of Patrick Freitag (Amprion), Iegor Riepin (Technische Universität Berlin), and Fabian Hofmann (Open Energy Transition). It is moderated by Bryn Pickering (Open Energy Transition).

Bring your thoughts and questions along.
