We have got two open positions at DLR in Oldenburg (Germany):
One is focuses in model development. We want to find somebody to work on the architectural design, development, and validation of our model landscape, which is very much relying on oemof but not exclusively. We hope to find someone willing to do a postdoc on this position, but a doctorate is not a must. See DLR - Jobs & Careers - Development of energy system models for details.
The second one focused on application for the energy transition at ports. It also includes software development but particularly emphasizes coupling of various models from different disciplines (e.g. logistics and energy). We think, it is possible to do a doctorate in the course of the project. But this is not a must (especially if you have one already). See DLR - Jobs & Careers - Development of energy system models for future harbour development for details.
I’m looking forward to hearing from about applications. (Expect you contributions to be found in the wild and used by others if you get the position. In particular, we will collaborate on oemof development, which I am currently coordinating at our institute.)
