Thrusday 8th January 2026 5pm CET: Grid data quality and energy system planning with MapYourGrid webinar

Dear all and best open wishes for this new year!

MapYourGrid team is pleased to invite OpenMod community to attend to our next webinar.

It will be particularly relevant for openmoders working to address the growing need for grid and energy-sector infrastructure expansion in the world.

We aim to address the following questions:
:red_question_mark:How to monitor and ensure the quality of power grid data in OpenStreetMap?
:red_question_mark:How these improvements can benefit PyPSA models, other modeling communities and even grid operators?
:red_question_mark:How to match similar power generation datasets across different sources with PowerPlantMatching?

Whether you map grid infrastructure, build energy system models, or work with open data, this session will share practical methods and emerging best practices.

MapYourGrid is a collaboration between Open Energy Transition, Dynartio, Datactivist, Jungle Bus, and Infrageomatics. You can contribute and be part of the initiative too: https://mapyourgrid.org/
