Reviewing two decades of energy system analysis with bibliometrics

Hi to all,

Recently, we have published a large-scale review of the field of Energy system analysis: https://authors.elsevier.com/a/1d~3P4s9Hw2FWO (free access until December 16, 2021).

What we found a bit surprising is that the field is still lacking international collaboration. Collaborative approaches happen primarily within the countries. The normalized indicators also show significant dominance of institutes located in the Nordics.

Do you think that we create some hidden biases by the lack of wider range collaboration? Are we favouring the technologies suitable for Northern countries?

Even the paper is maybe too long for some, looking into the figures and the discussion section is already very informative in my opinion.
