Research Software engineer in energy modelling in Grenoble

As part of the European FlexRICAN project (https://flexrican.eu/), focusing on the energy flexibility and environmental impacts of European Research Infrastructures. The CNRS is recruiting a a research software engineer for one year, that will be responsible for developing, documenting and supporting the open source python software OMEGAlpes (OMEGAlpes / OMEGAlpes · GitLab).

I know of one other project that hired an RSE not listed here, bringing the total to eleven.

I recently spoke to one such engineer employed in Berlin and their main task, at least initially, was to clean up the codebase. Just imagine!

Good to see that more professionalism on the software side is being given priority by science funders.
