At PIK - Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research we are looking for a Research Analyst and Research Software Engineer to model the transformation and circularity of energy-intensive industries (steel, cement, and plastics), starting as soon as possible.

You will further advance REMIND Materials, the integrated modelling framework which we use to assess the industry transition of the three basic materials steel, cement, and plastics. It consists of the dynamic material flow analysis model REMIND-MFA (based on flodym), which is coupled to our global energy-economy-climate model REMIND, which contributed the most scenarios among all models in the IPCC AR6 report.
