We are proud to announce AMIRIS v3.5, which brings significant improvements to the way flexibility options are implemented. The new class GenericFlexibilityTrader offers more comprehensive and flexible parameterization than the (still-existing) StorageTrader class.
GenericFlexibilityTrader offers optimized strategies for storage units with:
- Asymmetric load / unload performance (power and efficiency),
- inflows or outflows,
- self discharge,
- time-dependent upper and lower capacity limits.
Using GenericFlexibilityTrader you can now also model, e.g., hydroelectric dams and pumped-storage with inflows. It is planned to enhance GenericFlexibilityTrader to also handle the operation of load shifting applications like heat pumps, or electric vehicles using the same methods and logics.
Upgrade to the new version of AMIRIS now and also get AMIRIS-Py v3.2, which comes with significantly improved error handling and thus provides a more comfortable user experience.
