I’d like to know if someone has any open source software suggestions for modelling the integration a Thermal Energy Storage System (eg: Phase Change Materials (PCMs)) in a district heating or a building system which evaluates the heat usage, carbon emissions etc. It’s my master thesis work.

That last paper covered so‑called transparent insulation, a novel passive solar technology that was never developed in practice (as far as I am aware). The other paper examined seasonal thermal storage. The underlying software is archived here.
