Dear openmod community,
We are recruiting a postdoc to help develop multisector energy system models at the MIT Energy Initiative. Please share this with anyone you think would be interested and encourage them to reach out to me if they have questions.
The project will center on developing decomposition methods to allow for larger and more granular models of different energy sectors. We have several ongoing projects which are making use of the DOLPHYN capacity expansion model, and are looking for someone to help continue to build DOLPHYN as well as contribute to the project analyses.
We are open to any candidates who believe they would be a good match but especially those with a strong background in optimization methods. Experience of energy system modelling is a plus but not necessary.
