Postdoc position in energy sector modeling at UC Santa Barbara

We are recruiting a postdoc to work on the power sector transition in India and
other regions. Efforts include capacity investments and resource adequacy modeling using the GridPath open-source modeling platform (GitHub - blue-marble/gridpath: A versatile simulation and optimization platform for power-system planning and operations.). The Environmental Markets Lab <[https://emlab.ucsb.edu (https://emlab.ucsb.edu/)> (emLab) and Clean Energy Transformation Lab (CETlab) https://cetlab.es.ucsb.edu/ at the University of California Santa Barbara invite applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Scholar position to lead research in low-carbon and just transitions in electricity systems in India and other regions. Efforts will include developing operations and planning models of electricity systems, spatial analysis of generation resources, load forecasting, and climate and health impacts analysis.

The salary range for this position is $64,480-$77,327.
