Level: Postdoctoral Research Associate — Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Focus

The LIINES is seeking a postdoctoral research associate in the area of intelligent energy systems. The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field. They must have experience in modeling energy systems in the electrical, thermal, fluidic, and mechanical energy domains. They must have a strong background in optimization methods and control systems; both in their theoretical understanding and their numerical implementation. The candidate must also be proficient in Python, MATLAB and GAMS. Strong technical writing and presentation skills are expected.

The appointment is for the duration of one year with opportunity for a one-year renewal. Compensation is commensurate with experience and is competitive with typical academic rates.

The LIINES is seeking a doctoral research assistant in the area of intelligent energy systems. The successful candidate will have a satisfactorily completed a foundational degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field. They must have experience in modeling energy systems in the electrical, thermal, fluidic, and mechanical energy domain. They must have a strong background in optimization methods and control systems; both in their theoretical understanding and their numerical implementation. The candidate must also be proficient in Python, MATLAB and GAMS. Strong technical writing and presentation skills are highly desirable.
