- description: Methods for detecting and documenting energy infrastructure are fast becoming more effective and accessible to a wide range of actors, potentially enabling many more to assess plans made by governments and other energy infrastructure providers. On the other hand, publishing that data openly may also pose a risk both to national security and those who publish it. With that in mind, this breakout-group will explore the challenge of improving open data in energy systems modelling whilst staying within legal frameworks, fostering collaboration with governments and TSOs and avoiding unintended consequences pertaining to data that is considered critical to national security.
