Since AMIRIS only models the spot market, can we use it for other markets? If such markets were to be added to AMIRIS (e.g. capacity markets, heat markets), would this require changes to the model framework FAME?
In general, one could model additional commodity markets based on AMIRIS and FAME. FAME is basically feature-complete and could accomplish this. Thus, one would not need to make adaptions to FAME. In AMIRIS, however, one would have to add and design new agent classes including, e.g., market agent(s) and trader agents that reflect bidders for demand and / or supply.
