I am doing research on maximizing the use of otherwise curtailed variable renewable energy (VRE) with flexible loads. I am trying to find the global data of VRE curtailment in a future scenario with high VRE penetration, such as 2030. I need a fine-grained scale like hourly or sub-hourly as I plan to do load scheduling to match VRE supply.
I checked out a review paper on energy models: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1364032118305690 and short-listed a handful of models that meet my temporal-geographical requirement. But I am not sure if they can provide the data that I want. So any comments, suggestions or insights will be highly appreciated!
