Germany2019 example

Hi,

Currently looking to modify the Germany example for a UK based market using my own csv data files. I was hoping to find out what units the csv files in the time step are in and also is the solar profile for a single user?

Kind regards

Serge

Hi Serge,

the units of the Germany2019 timeseries are as follows:

File Description Unit
availability.csv Percentage of availability (0 → not available vs. 1 → fully available) 1
Biomass_profile.csv Normalized profile of biomass generation 1
co2_price.csv Price of CO2 emission allowances EUR/t_CO2
demand_with_ImportsExports.csv Hourly electricity demand to be served MWh/h
hard_coal_cost.csv Delivery price to power plant per thermal MWH of hard coal EUR/MWh_th
natural_gas_cost.csv Delivery price to power plant per thermal MWH of natural gas EUR/MWh_th
oil_cost.csv Delivery price to power plant per thermal MWH of oil EUR/MWh_th
Other_res_profile.csv Normalized profile of generation for power plants declared as “other renewables” 1
runofriver_profile.csv Normalized profile of generation for run-of-river power plants 1
Solar_profile.csv Normalized profile of generation for PV power plants 1
WindOffshore_profile.csv Normalized profile of generation for off-shore wind power plants 1
WindOnshore_profile.csv Normalized profile of generation for on-shore wind power plants 1

FYI: We have also added this information to the examples repository (commit eed9a878) to be shipped with the upcoming release.

The solar profiles resemble the feed-in for all of Germany (roof-top + large PV sites). Therefore, it is not to be confused with a “single-user” or house-hold feed-in profile.

Best,
Felix

Thank you felix this has proved very useful!
