we have an opening for a full-time position at the DLR Institute of Networked Energy Systems in Oldenburg for the further development and expansion of the grid planning tool open_eGo in the context of the eGon project.
The planned development includes the coupling of the existing electricity grid model with demands and flexibilities from the gas, e-mobility and heat sectors. The aim is to investigate the impact of sector coupling on the energy system costs also in comparison with electricity grid expansion.
The advertised position will focus on the gas sector and its use as a flexibility in the power system. The tasks include data acquisition in the gas sector and the development of a gas data model as well as the corresponding integration into the planning tool.
