Hello all,
I’m currently working with Halcyon.io, focusing on how improved regulatory transparency and data accessibility can support energy modelling and analysis.
I wanted to share a free tool we’ve been developing called Halcyon Search, which might be useful for those here who collect or process regulatory data for modelling or policy research. It aggregates filings and dockets from all 50 U.S. Public Utility Commissions into a single searchable interface, making it easier to find, extract, and monitor the regulatory documents that shape grid planning, interconnection policy, and rate design.
Researchers can use it to locate documents such as integrated resource plans, demand forecasts, or interconnection queue updates across states, and even set custom alerts for specific topics (e.g. “data center load growth,” “distributed generation,” or “EV infrastructure”) to get notified when new filings mention them across multiple states.
It’s completely free – we’re just looking for feedback on how this kind of data could better support the energy modelling community.
Give it a try here: [Halcyon Search] — and please reach out with any questions or feedback!
