Who are we:
At our non-profit company Open Energy Transition (OET), we’re dedicated to accelerating the global energy transition towards 100% renewable energy. We focus on creating a global impact by promoting transparency, accessibility, and collaboration in energy planning. Bringing open-source energy planning tools to global adoption is one of our goals. While we currently have one of the best open-source dev teams in PyPSA (outside of TU Berlin), we aim to expand our expertise in other frameworks that the industry demands. To encourage tech diffusion, we aim to support at least 2-3 open-source tools per category (power flow, production cost modelling, capacity expansion).
