I am a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at University College Cork (UCC), working within the CEEES group at the Sustainability Institute. Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at TU Delft, and I obtained my PhD from Politecnico di Milano, where I worked with the SESEAM research group.
My research sits at the intersection of energy transition and sustainable transport. I focus on integrating transport and mobility into data- and computation-intensive energy system models to better represent the role of transport in the transition towards sustainable energy systems. My work spans different modelling scales, from technology- and demand-level representations to large-scale integrated energy system models. I am particularly interested in developing new methodologies to investigate lock-in risks, system flexibility, and the manoeuvring space for achieving a defossilised energy system.
